What’s different about Innovative Recovery Services?

Innovative Recovery Services is an individual practice where we connect as human to human, first. I am trained in psychotherapy as well as advanced methods to helping you attain you therapy goals, but that science, research stuff comes second. My primarily focus is that you feel comfortable with our therapeutic relationship, and that you can settle into the work from a place of ease, trust and hope.

Relationships are where we heal, and that is why I take a strong relational approach ~

In terms of clinical skills, I integrate a variety of the most current evidence-based therapy methods to help treat you. Be it your struggle with anxiety, the burden of depression, finding ways to relieve your trauma symptoms, or helping to support you with to any mental health challenges many teens and adults face, today, I am here for you.

I approach each client is an individual and so I stay curious about you, and as I get to know you, decide which treatment approach will help you benefit the most out of treatment. I focus on clinical outcomes, and symptoms relief, so I periodically check in on your treatment progress to ensure that you are maximizing your experience in therapy, and are improving your overall quality of life.

Practice Values~

Respect: I believe that everyone- children, teens, and adults deserve respect, validation, kindness, compassion and love. As a team, we respect each other. And as your therapist, I respect you, for being honest with yourself and for coming to therapy. Respect allows for true shifts to take place, and for secure and open relationships to develop.

Trauma Informed Care: From your very first call, my intention is for you to feel heard, connected to and supported. As a therapy practice, my approach to healing is that we look at the symptoms or behaviors you’re struggling with as coping methods you’ve needed to use to survive, but there is nothing wrong with you. I appreciate your story, your strengths and struggles and am here to help you heal the tough things you’ve experienced, and help you feel, and function, a whole lot better. I hold trust and hope for healing.

Time: Your time is precious, and I want you to be able to live your best life. Therapy is not meant to be a lifelong process. Your time in therapy is meant to help you engage in good work, achieve your treatment goals, and go on with living your life- with the improved functioning and wellness you’ve attained.

Relationships: The relationship that one has with their therapist is the single most important factor for change to take place.  I create a compassionate and nurturing environment to foster healthy relationships with my clients, as well as other people or practitioners that may be involved in the treatment process.

Joy & Playfulness Therapy can be tough, and that’s why I believe in bringing lightness and playfulness into the room as well! Life can be rough, and therapy does require some deep diving- but we can do it with balance, some laughter and playfulness.

~Healing happens when we can hold both, the pain and also the joy. I am here to help you do both! This is your place to heal~
